From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated that he was taxiing for departure and used the brakes to stop as he approached the hold short line. His power setting was described as low power (approximately 900 RPM) and he used what he believed to be normal brake pressure. The yoke was not in the full up elevator position, but likely in the middle of its travel. The aircraft pitched forward when he applied the brakes and struck the prop. The pilot contacted the tower for assistance in moving the aircraft and secured the aircraft. Massport operations contacted roc and bos FSDO for authorization to move the a/c.
