From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

About 10 min after taking off the engine starting to run rough, after a minute or so later it started to backfire, and running more rough, pilot started to lose power and was getting hard to maintain altitude. About this time pilot decided to try and land. There were people, cars and cones on the ground to get the attention of the people and cars on the ground to move off ,they realized the aircraft was landing and started to move out of the way, pilot did not want to take the chance of them not moving so he flew past them to a smaller area on the ground. As pilot touched down he was trying to stay on the pavement as long as possible, pilot realized he was still going too fast to fully stop before getting to a gate, he was forced to head into a fence which brought him to a stop, the engine was still running until contact with the fence. The plane spun around nosed down some and came to a stop upright a few feet past the fence. Pilot walked away unharmed and plane was damaged in the right wing, left wing, propeller and engine cowling.
