From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

According to the statement from the pilot: pilot initiated takeoff from Franklin airport. After becoming airborne, an engine vibration was felt by the pilot which soon stopped. The takeoff was continued and a return was planned. The no.2 cylinder's temperature reading was over maximum red line limit. The engine vibration returned, producing a partial loss of power. Pilot continued to apply full throttle. When pilot turned onto base leg, she reduced the throttle to slow from 80 to 75 mph in preparation to turn onto final. At that moment, the left wing dropped immediately. The airplane impacted the trees while in a left wing down attitude.
