From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot and one passenger departed runway 02 at Farmington Missouri (kfam). Pilot stated that the aircraft preflight and run-up was normal. Pilot stated that on departure just after lift off the left wing rose. He tried to correct it with aileron input but over corrected, which caused him to lose control of the aircraft. The aircraft came to rest upright approximately 800 feet to the west of runway 02. The aircraft received substantial damage to the left wing, tail, landing gear and propeller. The investigation found no indication of a mechanical failure.
