From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Upon landing the pilot was executing a landing in strong and gusty wind conditions. As he touched down, and without lowering his left wing and using his right rudder to keep the aircraft strait, the aircraft began floating right. When the aircraft touched down, the side loading of the aircraft coupled with no left aileron down input, the left wing lifted and the right wing tip struck the runway. When the pilot tried to correct and regain control of the aircraft, he over corrected with left rudder and left aileron and the aircraft exited the runway to the left.
