From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

This office was notified of aircraft accident in the vicinity of Price, Texas. One soul on board sustained fatal injuries. Investigation revealed pilot was on pipeline patrol, transitioning from the end of one pipeline to the beginning of another. The aircraft struck the ?b? Leg guy wires at an estimated 430 feet AGL. The tower top was reported to be at 460 AGL, 875 MSL.

The left wing contacted the wires at 90 degrees to the wing, suggesting a left wing down attitude. A vertical cable impact was observed around wing station 110.0. About half of the wing was removed and found in three large pieces at the tower site. The main wreckage was found 820 feet east of the tower. White paint transfer marks were found on the top guy wire of the tower. A majority of the fuselage and empennage were consumed by the post impact fire.
