From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On April 4, 2017, at approximately 10:00 am, after completing the first spray line, at 10 feet ail and at 160 knots, the pilot ascended to clear a tree line. At that point he saw the four large bottom power wires of an ?h? Pole power line system. The pilot applied full power and full up elevator. The aircraft struck the top two wires, breaking them both and one wire wrapped around the propeller between the engine cowling and the spinner bulkhead. The aircraft experienced high vibrations and an increase in oil temperature. The pilot landed the aircraft in the next field directly ahead. The pilot landed safely without injury or additional damage to the aircraft.

The aircraft sustained damage to the propeller with all blades having deep abrations/scouring and two blade tips bent with material missing. There was minor damage to the lower engine cowling and abrations on the right main landing gear .
