From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Air carrier was repositioning the aircraft to pick up a patient when he turned the aircraft around causing the right hand wing to hang over a 6' tall fence and then hit a corner pole of the fence at the airport. Pole was 4 feet taller than the fence. Pole also had a reflector on it. Pilot stated he screwed up and did not see the pole. Pole has been shortened to six feet and painted red by the airport and a light installed on the top.
