From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

It was the pilots third time into kmdt and reported the landing was normal. As the pilot taxied to the cargo facility ramp he noted an MD-80 was parked in the normal taxi in area on the cargo apron. Lights from the MD-80 aircraft blinded him as he saw the marshaler come into view.

The aircraft struck the foundation remnants of a hangar that was taken down. The aircraft jumped an approx 12 inch foundation curb resulting in the nose gear collapsing. As the nose gear collapsed the prop struck the ground resulting in two of the three blades liberating from the hub and the third had significant damage.

The pilot completed an emergency shutdown and exited the aircraft.
