From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated he made several successful touch and goes on runway 32. The pilot said the wind was reported as 320@10. The pilot decided he was going to practice a crosswind landing on the third attempt so he switched to runway 27. Recorded video at the scene shows the pilot made a successful touchdown but during roll out the right wing lifted up and the pilot attempted a go around. The aircraft turned 90 degrees to the north and attempted to climb out. The aircraft was flying very low. The landing gear struck a berm along side the runway and catapulted the aircraft 50 feet into the air. The aircraft them stalled and plummented to the ground in a spiraling nose low attitude. The actual wind at the time of the accident was reported by AWOS as 350 at 15 gusting to 22 KTS.
