From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Two to three seconds after a normal touchdown and landing the nose gear collapsed.

According to the crew, the traffic pattern leading up to the landing had been normal. The plane touched down at a normal landing speed with the mains making contact with the runway first followed by the nose gear. Appropriate gear call-outs had been made, the three green landing gear down indication lights were checked, there was no red transit light, and the nose gear appeared to be fully extended in the landing gear mirror.
