What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot departed runway 35 to conduct traffic patterns and take-offs and landings in a newly purchased aircraft. During first landing, pilot noted that the right brake was not working. Pilot attempted to slow the aircraft before the end of the runway but was unable to stop using the brakes without the aircraft pulling to the left due to the lack of functioning brakes on the right side. As the aircraft approached the end of the runway, the pilot applied brakes to avoid obstacles/runway lights and veered left off of the runway. Aircraft rolled approximately 600 feet northwest off of the runway and impacted a fence.
