From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The PIC and student were conducting power off 180 approaches at kisp on date 6/1/17 utilizing runway 24. Upon executing a third practice power off 180 the PIC and student were on a downwind approach and they were instructed to make a 360 degree turn on the downwind for spacing of departing aircraft. According to the PIC they became heavily fixated on accomplishing the third approach and neglected to put the gear in the down position. The aircraft approached runway 24, landed gear up, and came to a stop. The PIC pulled the mixture to idle cutoff, checked for and leaking fuel or fire and then notified the tower of the incident. Isp ARFF responded and the aircraft was raised and moved off the runway. The gear handle was found to be in the up position upon inspection by maintenance personnel sent to recover the aircraft. Formal counseling will occur with the PIC in accordance with the compliance philosophy.
