On June 8, 2017 at approximately 1339 MDT, Bellanca super viking N7328V pilot reported engine failure to front range tower and executed a forced landing in a wheat field approximately 2.5 miles notheast of the airport. Aircraft rolled approximately 130 yards before crossing a ditch line perpendicular to the direction of travel, impacting the distant side of the ditch. This impact collapsed both main landing gear and rotated the aircraft 180 degrees. The nose landing gear was also folded backward and upward into the engine firewall bulkhead during this impact causing buckling of the lower portion of the bulkhead and folding one propeller blade back against the engine cowling. 2 POB sustained serious injuries. Weather was VMC at the time. Visual inspection of aircraft fuel tanks at the accident site confirmed fuel present in both right wing fuel tanks and the left outboard fuel tank. The left inboard fuel tank was empty. Visual inspection of cockpit controls revealed one fuel system selector switch in the ?left? Position and the other selector switch was in the ?off? Position.
