From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

This was the students first solo flight, second landing when the incident occured. The first landing was uneventful. During the second landing approach the tower instructed the student to go around due to traffic on the rwy. The student was then clear for a short traffic pattern and was eventually cleared to land on rwy 7R. On approach the student indicated that the winds were coming from the left. The student was fighting to maintain the centerline of the rwy cross controling the aircraft with rudder and aileron. On short final the student stated his right foot slipped off the pedal and was stuck between the pedal and center pedestal. The student then stated the aircraft became unstable and decided to go around but this was initiated too late and the aircraft struck the left wingtip and aileron.
