From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Upon arrival at Palatka airport (28J) the privacy data omittedpilot in command (PIC), flying from the LH seat, offered to let passenger (pax), seated in the RH seat, land the aircraft. The pax accepted and took control of the aircraft. The landing was normal and uneventfull. During landing rollout due to a slight crosswind the plane drifted to the right side of the runway. The pax was unable to fully correct for the crosswind due to inefective rudder control at the low airspeed and no available braking from the RH position. Aircraft subsequently entered the grassy area next to the runway where due to the recent rain and soft ground the RH gear collapsed and RH wing impacting the ground. The landing gear damaged the belly of the plane when it folded underneath the belly and to the RH wing tip when it impacted the ground. There were no injuries and no medical attention was required.

As the FAA filed it

UPON ARRIVAL AT PALATKA AIRPORT (28J) THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC), FLYING FROM THE LH SEAT, OFFERED TO LET PASSENGER (PAX), SEATED IN THE RH SEAT, LAND THE AIRCRAFT.
