From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At approximately 1000 feet MSL and 4 NM from kecp while on a visual approach to runway 16, pilot experienced a loss of engine power. Pilot leaned the mixture to no effect. Pilot then pushed all engine controls forward, also with no effect. Engine continued to lose power. Pilot attempted to make an emergency landing on road but was unable to clear powerlines. Airplane landed between powerlines and treeline. Pilot and passenger received minor injuries. Damage to aircraft included: broken nose wheel, underside fuselage metal bent, both wings bent and broken at spar attach point. Investigation revealed no fuel in left main tank. Aircraft recovery team drained fuel from right main and aux tanks but not left main or aux tanks. Some fuel was noted on the ground around the airplane.
