From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot departed Hayward executive airport (hwd) and flew the incident aircraft to byron CA. (C83) to fuel. He returned to hwd to pick up passengers for a tour of the bay area and golden gate bridge. Upon his return he flew the cal university approach (base) to hwd the pilot stated it was a stable approach at approximately 76 knots and full flaps. He bounced once, when he settled back on the runway short of the runway numbers. After approximately 150 feet the nose gear collapsed breaking the nose landing gear truss, the retract truss and the nose landing gear link. The nose landing gear wheel well doors were ground down through the skin. During the investigation the main landing gear follow up doors were dented in toward the wheels. The right main landing gear tire had a flat spot
