From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated:appeared to be landing into wind , using a normal stabilized approach, aircraft touched down, and the tail and left wing rose abruptly causing the aircraft to be airborn again; right wing and float then descended, contacting the water surface which then yawed the aircraft to the left in a counterclockwise motion. The aircrcraft came to rest 90 degrees from landing heading. The pilot believes a momentary gust caused this accident. The pilot was very current with 20 t.o.'s and landings made the previous day with no apparent difficulty.
