From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The airman was returning from a sight seeing trip. The airman lined up with runway 14 and at the time, the wind was 180 degrees at 9 knots. In the airman's statement, "a gust occurred after touchdown and he was unable to keep the aircraft on the runway." The right main departed the runway and continued to pull the aircraft into the grass. While bouncing on the rough surface, the left main gear snapped into three pieces, causing the aircraft to slide on its belly and the propeller to strike.
