From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The student plt had landed the acft on rwy 28, and was taxiing back for another takoff on rwy 28 when the left wing impacted a recreational vehicle (rv) parked next to a t-hangar. The acft then pivoted around the rt side of the rv and the nose and propeller impacted the rt pax door of the rv, stopping the acft engine and acft movement.

Examination of the acft revealed damage was limited to the lt wing l/e skin between two wing ribs and the engine propeller.

A review of the reported taxi path after the acft turned off rwy 28 revealed that the student pilot had apparently been following a faint outline on the ramp where a taxi centerline had been previously located then removed or obscured, rather than following the clearly marked current taxiway centerline located further to the right.

The old centerline markings were sufficiently clear of the area where the rv was parked for the wingspan of this acft, indicating that the acft had deviated to the left off of the old centerline prior to impacting the rv.

The student reptd in his statement to the 141 flt school that he had been looking at the acft GPS to check his taxi speed right before the collision occurred.

As the FAA filed it
