From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After a normal landing on runway 36 and while taxiing to exit the active at taxiway A5 a click was heard from the left main gear side of the aircraft. The aircraft then squatted left wing down and the aircraft stopped responding to rudder inputs and came to a stop on the runway. ATCT was notified and they instructed the pilot to shut down and notified emergency personnel. The pilot notified maintenance and they responded and removed the aircraft from the runway and relocated it to tampa bay aviation. After receiving approval from the FAA iic tampa bay aviation began disassembly, maintenance and repair. During disassembly, removal of the access panel for the rear trunnion, the left hand aft bolt and retainer assembly were found lying in the wing in the bay accessed by the removed access panel. Neither the bolt nor the retainer showed signs of damage. Last major maintenance on the landing gear was performed on 6/21/2017 by ATP jacksonville at aircraft time 9,218.2. The retainer bolt had become loose and allowed the retainer to work loose and out allowing the aft trunnion assembly to move upward in the wheel well becoming lodged between the top and rear structure of the wheel well.
