From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was inbound for runway 20 at mcl and had desended to FL1400 AGL when he experienced a loss of power. Pilot then attempted to land on runway 2. About 200 yards short of runway 2 the pilot landed in a hay field. The landing gear colapsed on landing roll and substantially damaged the aircraft. There was no fuel noted in the left wing but the fuel tank was breached and the right tank had visable fuel.
