From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was at FL280 about 100 miles out of denver, CO and the pilot noticed the gear unsafe light came on, located in the gear selector handle. Pilot looked outside and saw the gear door was open, upon closer look the pilot could see a tire but had no gear down lights. Pilot advised the tower and began the emergency gear down procedures. Still no gear down lights, lights would test but not stay on. Pilot did a fly by and the tower stated that the nose gear did not look down and locked. Pilot declared and emergency and proceeded to land. Gear collapsed upon touchdown.
