From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The operator performed two trips around the pattern, with landings on runway 03. Upon taxiing back for a third take off, he stated, he was distracted, by a Cessna in the pattern, also doing take offs and landings, and other issues in his life. He stated that as he approached the end of the runway to turn around and perform another takeoff he applied the brakes to slow down. He stated that he did not seem to be getting any brake response, but, had just maneuvered left of center and back to facilitate a turn at the end of the runway. He then stated he stood on the rudder pedals at this point and described to me how the aircraft proceeded over the end of the runway through three landing lights, damaging two and coming to rest 18 feet off the runway, approx 8 feet below grade of the runway, with minor damage to left wing tip, fuselage, gear skirts and spinner. Along with scraping evidence and grass stain on one prop.
