From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(The pilot provided a written statment) the aircraft took off from westover airport (cef), going to Northampton airport (7B2). The flight was uneventful up until the attempted landing. Pilot configured aircraft for landing. Once over the runway the pilot flared but felt it was a bit fast, trying to bleed off the speed he applied slight backpressure and balooned slightly, the aircraft bounced at touch down and the nose gear porpoised once, at that point the aircraft turned hard left and the aircraft was in the grass, the pilot did not attempt a go-around due to aircraft veered hard left, the pilot lost directional control and the aircraft struck a VASI light and skidded sidways to a stop.

The left inboard section of the left wing, which is a composite wing, has a section torn into it starting from the leading edge that continues into the fuel tank, top and bottom of the wing, this is substantial damage.

As the FAA filed it
