From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot and passenger departed block island (kbid) en-route back to home base, Robertson airport (4B8) with ATC flight following in VMC conditions. Pilot stated he was too high for landing upon seeing 4B8 and he removed all aircraft power in order to enter the traffic pattern at an appropriate altitude. Pilot stated the landing gear warning horn was sounding the entire time. Aircraft was landed on runway center line with full flaps, under power without landing gear extended. Propeller signatures confirm this and landing gear extended normally once aircraft was jacked.
