The following is the pilot statement;
On December 14, 2017 at 5:49 pm, Fulton county air traffic control tower cleared me for takeoff in my Beechcraft bonanza N9693Y from runway 26 at Atlanta Fulton County Airport (kfty). Upon liftoff and initial climb, I glanced inside and reached for the gear handle for gear retraction. As my eyes returned to the outside view, I saw 5 to 6 canadian geese flying right to left in my windscreen. There was no time to maneuver away from them. I estimate my altitude was 300 feet and airspeed was approaching 120 knots when they impacted my airplane. One goose hit my right wing near the tip; one hit the forward passenger side windscreen post. The goose that hit the right wing impaled itself into the leading edge and stayed there. At this point, the control tower cleared me for a left turn for on course to my destination. I reported to the tower that I had hit some geese and needed to land. The tower controller instructed me to join the left downwind for runway 26 and then asked if I needed assistance. The bonanza was flying and behaving normally so I declined his offer for assistance. The remaining flight in the traffic pattern and landing was uneventful. Upon roll out on runway 26 I saw 2 dead geese on the runway which I reported to the control tower. With taxi instructions from the tower, I taxied to the ramp with a dead goose hanging from right wing tip. The weather conditions during this period was VFR.
