From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During takeoff at hef on runway 34L as the aircraft was on rollout and eventually through rotation, the aircraft was drifting left with resistance in both the stick and pedals correcting to the right. Upon liftoff, with no control authority to the right the pilot decided to idle the engine and land the aircraft. The aircraft subsequently exited the runway to the left and contacted airport fixed lighting and a runway sign, and went into the grass. Pilot reported possible left brake dragging. After inspection no evidence of any problem with the brakes. There were two passengers on board and no injuries.
