From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 6 February 2018 at approximately 1300 EST flight GAJ800 was cleared for takeoff at kdet on runway 33. The pilot in command (PIC) taxied the aircraft into position, applied the brakes and then transferred the controls to the second in command (SIC). The SIC initiated a 20 to 30% partial power static takeoff. Upon the release of the brakes, the aircraft started to yaw to the left, which put the left mains on the snow patch that was off the center of the runway. The SIC then put in a control correction to straighten out the aircraft and the aircraft began to turn back to the right. Due to the left main being on the contaminated runway and the right main being on dry pavement, this may have started the aircraft in a skid, which increased the yaw back to the right, the SIC then tried to correct for this condition but continued to the right. At that point, the aircraft began to head off to the right, when the PIC observed that it definitely looked like the aircraft was going to depart the runway, he then began to execute an engine shutdown. The aircraft departed the runway near the 7/25 runway signed, upon the departure from the runway the right prop struck and damaged the 7/25 runway sign and did minor damage to two of the prop blades. The aircraft crossed taxiway ?h? And came to rest in the infield between runway 33 and taxiway ?a?. When the aircraft came to a complete stop, the PIC completed the engine shutdown and checked on his passengers.

As the FAA filed it
