From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At flight level 31000 the forward right cockpit side window shattered. The crew stopped their climb and put on their oxygen masks and followed the cracked windshield checklist. They determined it was the outer non-structural ply and per the checklist they diverted to the nearest maintenance base (kiwa). The crew declared an emergency for handling purposes and began a shallow descent into kiwa. They established a hold for 30 to 40 minutes to burn off excessive fuel to avoid an overweight landing. They landed with out incident. Airport operations dispatched emergency vehicles.
