What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The aircraft during landing touchdown bounced slightly then touched down on all three wheels. The aircraft started to yaw to the left at which point the pilot attempted to correct by adding right rudder. The aircraft appeared to continue the left yaw when the pilot applied full right rudder. At that point the aircraft then swerved sharply to the right continuing the yaw until the aircraft was sliding backwards off the runway surface. At some point during the right swerve/ yaw the left wing tip and left elevator contacted the ground/ runway causing substantial damage to both surfaces. The tail/ rudder also appeared to be damaged.
