From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The remote pilot was operating the halo pro, fa registration number FA3MR3TYKH at his house located in Kouts in. While he was manipulating the controls the UAS attempted to fly away. The UAS was approximately 100 feet horizontally and 140 feet vertically from his position. He gained control only by pressing the return to home button. When the UAS returned, he attempted to manually operate the controls again. After gaining control, the UAS flew away again. This time flying at maximum speed towards his neighbors driveway approximately 500 feet horizontally from his location. The UAS struck the concrete and then hit the neighbors police vehicle as it was parked. The police officer responsible for the police car received estimates totalling $1400.00. The frequency used by the operator is unknown.
