From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 4/15/18, twin commanche, PA-30, N8765Y, s/n 30-1921, experienced a total electrical failure enroute from red lion airport (N73) to atlantic ciy (acy). The pilot contacted mcguire afb (wri) and declared an emergency, and requested a precision radar approach. The pilot lowered the landing gear per the normal procedures and subsequently landed on rwy 36 at wri. Upon touchdown/rollout, the landing gear collapsed and both propellers struck the runway. The aircraft came to rest on the right side of rwy 36 and both occupants evacuated the aircraft without any injuries.
