From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft was in the right pattern to re 24R. Etc offered the pilot the option to change to re 33 due to wind shift. The pilot flew the aircraft flew to rat down wind for re 33. He then turned base and final. The pilot turned too sharp and leaflet out over the runway. The pilot knew he was coming in to fast and high. The desired airspeed is [approx 95 ok vis. 85 ok]. He touchdown approx. midfield near taxi be & re 06R at 75-78 ok, 70 ok is desired. He rolled out normally. He then started a right turn to taxi way D3 with the nose at approx. 10 dig right. He braked hard and heard a small pop. He then reported no right braking control as nose moved left approx. 10 dig. He then did not apply any further braking and began a nose gear retraction as the aircraft departed the end of the runway to slow the aircraft down. The aircraft nose hit the dirt as he departed the 'safety zone'. He then came to a full stop in a tree and shrub area. There were no injuries, and no fuel leaks. He shut down the engine and called etc. Then shut off master and everything else. Departed aircraft normally and awaited emergency services.
