From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Airplane attempting to land on runway 12 struck the snow on the right side of the runway with the nose wheel and right main wheel approximately 1000 feet from the approach end . The pilot attempted to return the airplane to the runway but over corrected, went across the runway, hit a runway light and entered the snow on the left side of the runway. The nosewheel strut broke off and the airplane stopped with the nose resting on the engine cowl and the empennage up in the air. Damage was limited to prop, engine mount, left flap and nose gear.
