From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft departed twf runway 26 and the pilot noticed that the landing gear unsafe light stayed on longer than usual. The pilot attempted to extend the gear and discovered that the gear would not extend normally. The pilot advised twf ATC and performed a missed approach and confirmed that the gear was not fully extended. ATC cleared the pilot to the south of the airport to perform a manual gear extension. During the gear extension, the pilot heard a loud bang. The pilot was able to manually extend the gear and land successfully at twf runway 30. Post flight inspection revealed damage to the left wing leading edge and left stabilizer leading edge with evidence of bird feathers and snarge.
