From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft is based at 9G0. The commercial multi engine rated pilot departed 9G0 with intention to accomplish 3 currency takeoffs /landings. The first landing was accomplished at 9G0 and then flew to bqr for the second. In the pattern for RNWY26 the pilot turned a wide left base and lowered flaps to 10° and thought he had lowered the landing gear. Turning final the pilot selected flaps 30°. As he began his flare and retarded the throttles he heard the gear horn sound and scraping sound at about the same time. The pilot looked and saw the gear handle in the up position and put it to down. The aircraft skidded off the runway and into the airport perimitter fence.
