From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

As the pilot was landing on runway 10 at kgvq, he said that he attempted to make a smooth landing so as to not make his passenger/friend nervous due to the light crosswind. In doing so the pilots? Touchdown and rollout was longer than planned. The runway at kgvq was reduced in length due to construction, and as the pilot approached the end of the usable runway, he believed he was not going to be able to stop prior to the end of the shortened runway therefore turned the airplane at a higher than normal speed to exit the runway at the last turn-off. Due to the increased speed during the turn-off of the runway, the pilot was unable to keep the aircraft fully on the runway or intended taxiway and the airplane propeller and nose wheel cover/pant came in contact with 3 runway lights. One of the 3 propeller blades was damaged and the nose wheel cover/pant was scuffed.

As the FAA filed it
