From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On may 27, 2018 at approximately 08:44 central daylight time, a Beech P35 aircraft was substantially damaged due to impact with terrain and subsequent fire during takeoff at the Millard, Nebraska (kmle) airport. The aircraft attempted to depart from runway 30 (3801' x 75') with an unkown destination. Approximately 1300 into the takeoff roll, the aircraft exited the left side of the runway and crossed through the grass median.

Surveillance video from oracle aviation captures the aircraft veering left (west) of the parallel taxiway and then began to bank to the right (east), striking the right wing tip on the taxiway. The surveillance video continues to depict that the aircraft continued down the taxiway, and attempted to become airborne.

A second surveillance video came from tyson foods, located on the northeast corner of the Millard Airport property. This video shows the aircraft airborne approximately mid field, crossing back over the grass median towards the runway. The video continues to capture the aircraft coming down onto the runway, start to spin clockwise, cartwheel, and immediately become engulfed in fire.

The aircraft came to rest inverted approximately 200 feet past and slightly east of the departure end of runway 30. Two pilot occupants were onboard the aircraft. The pilot in the right seat was ejected from the aircraft, and came to rest buckled in the seat approximately 30 feet past the crash site. Both pilots sustained fatal injuries. We have no way to determine which pilot was flying.

As the FAA filed it
