From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N352GL was thouroughly preflighted inside hangar at klrg. Approx. 20 minutes into flight, engine became rough and power reduced by about half with no change in throttle. PIC experienced increased noise and a distinct vibration, resulting with engine and prop stopping completely. Restart attempted with no prop movement. PIC determined the river/bog area below him was the only option for landing. After initial contact with ground, aircraft flipped forward and came to rest upside down. PIC was able to release his restraints and evacuate by crawling through the broken off tail section.
