From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot privacy data omitted was practicing touch-and-go landings. After the second landing, dto tower instructed the pilot to extend his downwind leg. As the outside air temperature was 99 degrees and the aircraft had a bubble canopy, the temperature in the cockpit was even hotter. The pilot was trying to deflate the canopy seal in an attempt to allow cooling air into the cockpit and failed to extend the landing gear. The pilot did not realize the landing gear was not extended until the propeller hit the runway. The aircraft sustained minor damage.
