From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Student pilot was to fly his first solo flight. He met with his CFI prior to the flight and discussed weather and the plan for the flight the was to occur. The student pilot lined up on the runway advanced the throttle to full open and began accelerating forward. He rotataed the disk aft at 45-50 KTS to lift off but the aircraft did not begin to climb. The student pilot applied more aft cyclic and at about 60 KTS still did not have adequat lift however it appears that the main rotor contaced the tail, the tail contacted the ground and the aircraft rolled left on is side.
