What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
At the conclusion of a VFR flight from dexter airport (kdxe) to Painton, MO, (eaa airport 453) the pilot attempted to accomplish a landing to the south on the turf runway. The wind at this time was light and generally southerly. However, on touch down the airplane bounced back into the air and the pilot corrected with forward motion on the control yoke, causing the airplane to touch down nose gear first. On impact the nosegear separated from the airplane and the propeller struck the ground. The damage to the airplane consisted of sudden stoppage of the engine, a broken propeller blade, damage to the engine mount, damage to the upper and lower nose cowlings and the broken nosewheel strut.
