From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot was on a flight to recover an aircraft for wings of hope from 06TN and take it to ksus. When he arrived at ksus the winds were 170 degrees at 12 gusting to 18. He chose to take the widest runway (26L). He stated the landing was uneventful. While he was working the rudders on rollout, he inadvertently hit the left heel brake, not much, but enough to start the aircraft to the left. At the same time, he was hit with a strong gust of wind, which began to weathervane the aircraft. He decided to exit the runway into the grass then return to the runway instead of trying to recover on the runway and risk a ground loop. There was no damage to the aircraft or the airport.
