From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On September 5, 2018 at approximately 2106 local time. N599TM landed at Teterboro Airport on runway 19 and taxied to atlantic aviation. At approximately 0048 local time atlantic aviation personnel observed damage to the left outboard trailing edge of the flap and the outboard wing tip. Both area's were scraped and bent up. The FAA was notified at 0105 local time and was on scene at 0715 local to investigate.

The only damage visible on the aircraft was the outboard trailing edge corner of the left wing flap and the left wing tip. Both areas are bent up and had heavy scraping on the bottom section of them. Airport operations located the section of runway 19 on the center line that has visible scratches with paint and two static wicks at the location that matched the missing statics from the aircraft. It appeared the aircraft wing first contacted runway 19 pavement approximately 1,700 ft from threshold (adjacent to taxiway f).

The captain stated that the first officer was flying this leg of the trip and while on approach he noticed the nose of the aircraft was high and kept telling the first officer to lower the nose. Next thing he felt the aircraft hit the tarmac hard. They taxied to atlantic and performed a walk around, observed no damage and left for the hotel.

As the FAA filed it
