From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Review of the security footage indicated that the tug driver started turning the aircraft to the left too soon after pushback. This caused the aircraft to be off centerline which caused the LH winglet to make contact with a stationary catering truck. This catering truck was properly parked outside of the aircraft safety zone. The left wing walker failed to inform the tug driver to stop in a timely manner. . No injuries were reported. Crew and passengers deplannned via jet bridge.

Forwarded results of the investigation to the swaa cmo for their disposition.
