The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at approximately 1015 EDT, a sorrell SNS-7 aircraft, registration n-number N8053Q lost directional control during the roll-out phase of the landing on runway 26 (3,040 feet by 297 feet, turf). The aircraft came to rest in the grass field south of runway 26.
The pilot, privacy data omitted a private pilot privacy data omitted was receiving flight instruction from privacy data omitted a flight instructor privacy data omitted.
According to both pilots? Statements, the aircraft began to turn towards the left when privacy data omitted applied the brakes. privacy data omitted Attempted to correct the aircraft?s direction back to the right to maintain runway centerline by applying right rudder. As the aircraft continued to turn to the left, privacy data omitted instructed privacy data omitted to release the brakes. privacy data omitted Stated he then attempted to apply more right rudder to maintain runway centerline. Brake pedals were not installed on the right side, so privacy data omitted was not able to directly control the brake inputs. privacy data omitted Stated he was able to apply enough right rudder inputs to straighten-out the aircraft?s path; however, the aircraft?s path was ultimately pointed in a direction to take the aircraft beyond the boundary line of the turf runway. The right main tire impacted a small hole in the grass field which caused the right main gear to collapse and separate. The aircraft came to a sudden stop with both the right lower wing and the propeller impacting the ground.

As the FAA filed it
ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2018, AT APPROXIMATELY 1015 EDT, A SORRELL SNS-7 AIRCRAFT, REGISTRATION N-NUMBER N8053Q LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL DURING THE ROLL-OUT PHASE OF THE LANDING ON RUNWAY 26 (3,040 FEET BY 297 FEET, TURF). THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST IN THE GRASS FIELD SOUTH OF RUNWAY 26.
THE PILOT, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ A PRIVATE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS RECEIVING FLIGHT INSTRUCTION FROM ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ A FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.
ACCORDING TO BOTH PILOTS? STATEMENTS, THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO TURN TOWARDS THE LEFT WHEN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ APPLIED THE BRAKES. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT THE AIRCRAFT?S DIRECTION BACK TO THE RIGHT TO MAINTAIN RUNWAY CENTERLINE BY APPLYING RIGHT RUDDER. AS THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO TURN TO THE LEFT, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ INSTRUCTED ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ TO RELEASE THE BRAKES. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED HE THEN ATTEMPTED TO APPLY MORE RIGHT RUDDER TO MAINTAIN RUNWAY CENTERLINE. BRAKE PEDALS WERE NOT INSTALLED ON THE RIGHT SIDE, SO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS NOT ABLE TO DIRECTLY CONTROL THE BRAKE INPUTS. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED HE WAS ABLE TO APPLY ENOUGH RIGHT RUDDER INPUTS TO STRAIGHTEN-OUT THE AIRCRAFT?S PATH; HOWEVER, THE AIRCRAFT?S PATH WAS ULTIMATELY POINTED IN A DIRECTION TO TAKE THE AIRCRAFT BEYOND THE BOUNDARY LINE OF THE TURF RUNWAY.
