From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was ferrying aircraft from seller to buyer. Pilot stated during rollout after 150 feet the aircraft made an immediate right turn. The aircraft came to rest in a drainage ditch with large rocks. Both right and left landing gear were collapsed and one side of the propeller was bent. There was no other visible damage to the aircraft. The firewall was intact. Inspection of the tail wheel revealed the centering lock had apoximately 20 degrees of play. Pilot lost control of aircraft and ground looped the aircraft.
