From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 2/17/2019 aircraft landed without event at Sanford airport Florida. On the roll out the pilot felt the nosegear retract into the fuselage. The aircraft skidded to a stop on its nose without further incident. Due to the location of the propellar on the rear of the aircraft and forward center of gravity, only damage to the nose of the aircraft.

Pilot plans on replacing the nose gear actuator and reinforcing the nose of the aircraft. Age of the nose actuator is unknown.
